Intel Edison size comparison

I try to develop several simple procedure based on Intel Edison, such as through the node.js app control LED (the a simple procedure), and wondering how to develop procedures for motion sensor devices "leap motion" (in the early stage of testing to obtain the development set)

I first created a simple procedure, as long as the Motion Leap sensor before waving a hand, you can trigger LED lights.

brief introduction

In this project, I will connect through Leap Motion USB, and through sketch Processing to Intel Edison to send data.

Based on the application of the operation of the Intel Edison can read data, and check the user's hand is in front of Motion Leap, as well as whether or not the LED light. Sounds very simple, right?

I assume you have the latest image to refresh the Edison. If not, please refer to Intel's official guide.

First step: (connecting the components)

Equipment is connected!

First you need to power the Edison, you can choose the following two simple methods. (I'm saying that Intel Edison with Arduino expansion board)

Power supply through DC power supply.

Power supply via USB port. (How to operate?)

I am more inclined to adopt second methods.

If the DC power supply for Edison, you also need to connect the USB cable, because we want to communicate through the serial communication with the development board. So we can supply power through the USB port to edison. (as shown in the figure below)
